Programs for Younger Children

1000 Books before Kindergarten

Birth to Kindergarten
At home at your own pace.

Take every chance you have to read with your children.

Tell and talk about stories, say nursery rhymes, sing songs, and attend library programs.

By reading just three stories a day you and your child will have read over 1,000 books in one year!  You will also have shared many special moments along the way.

The library is a fun place featuring books to check out, free programs and great suggestions for what to read.  Stop in often and talk to our friendly staff – we are here to help.

Please stop by any Newaygo County library to register your child, or to receive prizes.

Happy Reading!

Baby Babble Time

Birth to 18 Months
COMING THIS FALL!

The soft coos and playful babbling of infants may sound like pleasant nonsense to a parent’s ear, but as babies make these noises they are finding their voices.

Babble Time is when you and your child join together with others in a circle on the floor for music and songs, nursery rhymes, finger plays, and movement activities.

See you in the circle!
