- Call 844-330-2020 to speak with a Census Bureau representative if you are not sure of the identity of a Census Worker, or to report a scam.
- Locally: If you are having difficulties with a Census Field Worker please call the Area Census Office in Traverse City and ask for the Traverse City Region Census Field Manager. The office phone number is 231-944-7700.
Timeline Reminders – 2020 Census Operational Adjustments Due to COVID-19 :
- The Mobile Questionnaire Assistance Program will is currently scheduled to end September 30, 2020.
- The “Non-Response Follow-Up” field operation is scheduled for August 6 – September 30, 2020.
- Enumeration of transitory locations (Census takers count people staying at campgrounds, RV parks, marinas, and hotels if they do not usually live elsewhere) – September 3-28, 2020
- Service Based Enumeration (service providers at soup kitchens, shelters, and regularly scheduled food vans to count the people they serve) – September 22-24, 2020.
- Counting individuals experiencing homelessness – September 22-24, 2020
- The Census Response phase ends – September 30, 2020
- The Apportionment counts will be delivered to the President by – December 31st, 2020.
- The Redistricting counts to the states will be delivered by – April, 2021.
